Hello and thanks to all for such a great site as well as any and all help!

I have a leather bound copy of the Passion of Christ with 37 cuts by Durer. To me the book looks late 19th to early 20th. It has marbled boards, bumped spine with gilded lettering and gilded end pages.

There is absolutely no writing in the book what-so-ever. Passion of Christ is stamped in gold on a green band on the spine. The book does not appear to be missing any pages. The durer images are printed on gray paper which has been attached completely to the white pages (they do not flap). There are no tissue guards over the images. I've done google searches, addall etc... and have found nothing which cooresponds with this book. I've found a lot of "Little Passion of Christ" and versions which have fewer illustrations. I'm beginning to think it was a one off for an individual that was a Durer enthusiast.

Any help to ID the book or advice as to where I can look would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have the same book, except that the color of the cover is brown instead of red. If you learn anything please let me know!

Try a google search of the following: Passion of The Christ book sold at auction. This has worked for me in the past for books, paintings, etc.
